Swansea City have been dealt a double blow before Sunday's Premier League clash at Manchester City as Wilfried Bony and Angel Rangel picked up injuries against Valencia.
Swans boss Michael Laudrup confirmed afterThursday's 1-0 defeat to the Spanish side in the Europa League: "Both are muscle injuries. Hopefully Angel went off in time, so he may not be so bad, but Bony could be quite a serious one.
"We will have to wait two or three days for the scan. Unfortunately, I think we are talking several weeks."
Daniel Parejo's 20th-minute strike proved to be decisive for the visitors to the Liberty Stadium and Swansea will now have to wait until next month's final group game against St Gallen to see if they can qualify for the last 32 of the competition. Valencia can be backed at16/1to win this season's Europa League outright.
Record signing Bony picked up his injury in the 40th minute of the match and could now face more than a month on the sidelines.
Swansea were already without Michu for Sunday's match, which they can be backed at11/1to draw 1-1, so Alvaro Vazquez,16/1 to open the scoring at the Etihad Stadium, is expected to start against Manuel Pellegrini's free-scoring team.
Michu could return against Newcastle United next Wednesday for a Swansea team that is available at33/1to be relegated this season.
