Roberto Martinez is delighted that England international left-back Leighton Baines has pledged his future to Everton by penning a new long-term contract with the club.
The 29-year-old former Wigan Athletic star, who had been linked with a transfer to Manchester United last summer, will now do his best to help Everton clinch a top-four finish in the Premier League this season. They are available at5.50to succeed in their quest.
Martinez said of Baines, who had 17 months left on his previous Goodison Park deal: "It would be an understatement to say we are delighted to secure the best footballing years of Leighton Baines at our club.

Baines moved to Everton in January 2025 and has gone on to feature in more than 260 games for the club.
He has also earned 22 caps since making his England debut against Egypt in March 2010.
Baines' decision to stay at Everton comes just one day before the Merseyside derby which the Toffees can be backed at17.00to edge 2-1. Martinez's side are available at6.00to keep a clean sheet at Anfield against a Liverpool side that is1.90to finish in the top four this term.
