Chelsea have been told by Martin Demichelis the footballing gods won't be in their corner when they take on Manchester City on Monday night.
Jose Mourinho's team will be desperate to become the first team this season to stop City claiming all three points at the Etihad Stadium.
And it will certainly be interesting to see how the Chelsea boss sets up his side, having lambasted West Ham United in midweek for "parking the bus" in their 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge.
That result meant Chelsea are now three points behind leaders City, and they will be wary of allowing that gap to increase any further.
Manuel Pellegrini's men took their incredible tally to 115 goals, this season, with a 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
And City defender Demichelis insists: "It is two different styles of play (City v Chelsea). I expect they will concede possession of the ball to try and counter-attack us.
"They have a very vertical style of football. Hopefully the gods of football will benefit the team that plays the most attractive football.
"I expect it will be very, very intense, high-pressure, a good tempo, but we are always ready to play this type of match."
