Paul Wellens is confident that St Helens can end their six-year trophy drought by winning some silverware in 2025.
The Saints captain has faith in the squad that has been assembled by Nathan Brown and is looking forward to getting the new season underway on Thursday when they face Warrington Wolves.
St Helenshave signed scrum-half Luke Walsh from Penrith Panthers since the end of last season while Kyle Amor, Mose Masoe and Richard Beaumont have also been recruited.

"I think we've assembled a strong squad," said Wellens, who is starting his 16th season with St Helens. "When you play for this club, there are expectations.
"We expect to get to finals and to win trophies. It's been a long time since we've done that but those expectations have never changed and nor should they."
Warrington are without injured quartet Simon Grix, Ben Harrison, Paul Wood and Matty Russell while Adrian Morley and Garreth Carvell have left the club and Lee Briers has been forced to retire.
