Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott is adamant that his mind is 'on the job' and he can answer the call for Sunday's Capital One Cup final against Sunderland at Wembley.
Lescott has been a regular participant in the competition, due to a lack of starting opportunities in the Premier League. He is out of contract this summer and has already conceded that his future lies away from the Etihad Stadium.
The 31-year-old, however, wants to add to his medal collection before he walks off into the sunset, starting against the Black Cats.
Lescott insists: "It's going to be a great occasion at Wembley and I want to be a part of it.
"Not one of my performances has been altered by what's been going on with the contract. I just give 100 per cent."
City boss Manuel Pellegrini is faced with a number of tough decisions, having used the full resources of his squad in all the cup competitions this season.
Along with Lescott, the Chilean must also decide whether to stick with goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon, or now start with No.1 shot-stopper Joe Hart.
And striker Sergio Aguero is pushing for a start, ahead of Edin Dzeko, despite sitting out the last month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
