Jack Wilshere may be forced to sit out Arsenal's FA Cup sixth-round encounter with Everton after picking up an injury during England's 1-0 friendly win against Denmark.

However, the Gunners star appears to have escaped serious injury following a crunching tackle by Daniel Agger. Wilshere was able to play on despite initially writhing in agony on the pitch following the challenge before being substituted on the hour mark.

"I'm fine," the 22-year-old midfielder said afterwards. "It's a bit sore but it's only a bruise. I've had a scan already and it showed just a bruise, so I'll be alright."

Arsenal are3.75to win the FA Cup outright and can be backed at9.00to beat Everton 2-0 this weekend.

Meanwhile, England boss Roy Hodgson was impressed with Adam Lallana, who replaced Wilshere against the Danes at Wembley.

In what was a largely sterile affair, the Southampton star did at least manage to inject some spark into England and produced a perfect cross that allowed Daniel Sturridge to head home the only goal of the match.

Hodgson said: "From the 60th minute onwards we showed some really good play and Adam Lallana made a big difference. It was a very organised Danish team and we had to work very hard. Kasper Schmeichel had an outstanding game in goal.

"It is too hard to judge on one performance and if we want to use these players together, there is some work to do to make sure they gel. Our passing was a bit too slow in the first half and in the second half we got behind the opposition a bit more and created the chance that led to the goal.

"I am making a lot of experiments at the moment, giving people a chance to play who have not been with us very often. It is going to mean headaches for me, but I think it is good news for England that we have so many players who are looking good."

Hodgson will name a provisional 30-man squad on 13th January before submitting his final squad for the World Cup on 2nd January.

England are2.20to be eliminated at the group stage in Brazil this summer and4.50to go out in the quarter-finals.
