Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said he hopes to have record signing Mesut Ozil back for Sunday's FA Cup final dress rehearsal against Hull City.
Germany international Ozil, brought in for 42.5million from Real Madrid on transfer deadline day in January, has not played since 11th March after picking up a hamstring injury against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Wenger has revealed the playmaker "should be available" for the trip to take on Steve Bruce'smen at the KC Stadium.
The Frenchman also confirmed forgotten man Abou Diaby was expected to return to training on Thursday.
The midfielder has not played for an entire year because of a long-term injury and Wenger suggested he was unlikely to make his return before the end of the season.
"Abou is back in full training on Thursday," Wenger revealed. "It's very difficult to say [if he will play this season] because he has not played for over a year now, and it's very difficult for me [to decide]. He looks physically fine, but he has to play one or two games before I consider bringing him back."
Hull have only lost six of 17 home games so far this season in the Premier League and Wenger said he was expecting a difficult trip north. The Emirates Stadium boss also said it was essential his players ended the season with a flourish.
"Hull have had a remarkable season and they have done well at home," said Wenger. "We want to come out of the season and think we have given absolutely everything."
