Ryan Giggs is keen to guide Manchester United to a big finish this season after admitting that it has been a very frustrating campaign.

Former Wales international Giggs has been placed in interim charge of United for the last four Premier League matches of the season following David Moyes' departure on Tuesday.

Giggs will be in charge of Saturday evening's match against a Norwich City side that is1.22to be relegated this season as well as the forthcoming games with Sunderland, Hull City and Southampton.

The 40-year-old takes charge of a club that has lost 11 Premier League matches this season and is currently seventh in the table, 23 points behind leaders Liverpool and 13 adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal.

United also crashed out of the Champions League to Bayern Munich after losing to Swansea City at Old Trafford in the FA Cup and to Sunderland in the Capital One Cup.

Giggs accepts it has been a poor campaign but said: "I am proud, I am happy and a little nervous.

"I can't wait for Saturday. I know the place will be rocking and I know the fans will be behind us.

"It's been a frustrating season and I want to end it on a high.

"I've got to say this is the proudest moment of my life. The club has been the biggest part of my life since I was 14.

"This is something I am going to enjoy for, what, two-and-a-half weeks, and bring back some smiles to faces of the fans.

"I'd like to put on record my thanks to David (Moyes) for giving me my first chance in coaching. It's something I will always remember when he rang me in the summer and asked me to come on board."
