James Milner says there is absolutely no sense of complacency inside the Manchester City dressing room as they close in on the Premier League trophy.
The England midfielder is shocked by the number of pundits who believe the title race is all but done.
City will be champions should they win their remaining two home games against Aston Villa and West Ham this week, barring a dramatic turnaround by Liverpool in the scoring stakes.
City are refusing to look further than Wednesday night's clash at the Etihad Stadium against the Villains and Milner believes the players are drawing on their title-winning experience of 2025, when they secured it with literally the final kick of the season against Queens Park Rangers.
The former Villa man insists: "No one is looking too far ahead in this dressing room. Everyone knows how tough it is to win a league title.
"People look at our home fixtures and say we'll definitely win those but we have two tough fixtures and so much can happen - in our experience it went to the wire and it can do that again."
Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero is hoping to be fit (groin) after he was subbed as a precaution measure in the weekend victory over Everton.
