Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has said he is "at 100%" and ready to face Group G rivals Germany at Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador on Monday.
The 29-year-old missed two build-up friendlies for the Portuguese because of separate knee and thigh injuries but returned for the final tune-up clash against Republic of Ireland.
It was feared the Real Madrid superstar would miss the crunch opener against Joachim Low's men, but he insisted: "I'm at 100%. I want to have a great World Cup."
The Ballon d'Or said he did not need a successful World Cup to prove his credentials and was confident he was ready to lead Portugal to victory against the Germans.
"I don't think I have to show anyone anything," he said.
"If we look at my statistics and resume you'll see that."
He scored a stunning second-leg hat-trick in the play-offs against Sweden to book the Portuguese a place at the Brazil showpiece, but warned he cannot carry the team alone and told his team-mates it would take a united effort to get out of Group G.
He added: "I believe one player is not a team, I'm here in the national team to help, I'm an additional player, I can make a difference in some of the games, but I can't carry the whole team on my back.
"I'm just someone who wants to help to become a champion. We're not the favourite or in the group of favourites, which is something which is good for us."
