England lost three wickets before lunch on the second day of the fourth Test at Old Trafford as they built up a 49-run lead over India at Old Trafford.
After starting the day on 113-3 in reply to the tourists' first-innings total of 152, England lost Chris Jordan after 30 minutes of play, the nightwatchman being dismissed for 13 when he blasted a short ball from Bhuvneshwar Kumar straight to Varun Aaron at mid-wicket.
It was 140-5 when Ian Bell nicked a Kumar delivery through to wicketkeeper MS Dhoni who made the catch.
Bell was out for 58 and Moeen Ali followed him to the pavilion after making 13, being clean bowled by the impressive Aaron.
However, Joe Root looks to be in resolute form, and has moved on to a patient 23 not out, while Jos Buttler was unbeaten on 13 as England reached 201-6 by the break.
Bad weather is forecast in Manchester this afternoon, andagain on Sunday, but with 16 wickets having fallen in the opening four sessions of the Test, a draw is not necessarily a foregone conclusion.
