Unai Emery thinks that if his Sevilla side can play to the best of their ability they can beat Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday.
Sevilla beat Benfica on penalties in the Europa League final, while Real ultimately proved to be too strong for Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final almost three months ago.
Last season, Real thrashed Sevilla 7-3 but Emery is coming into this game in ebullient mood.
He said: "We come here happy, but also knowing that this game is going to be totally different to the rest of the pre-season.
"Facing Real Madrid will be the biggest challenge for us. I think we are absolutely ready, basically, in terms of mentality. We have our guns and if we develop them we can beat Real Madrid.
"We are now in a final, but it's still pre-season. There are players who haven't trained a lot, so we have to enjoy the game. It's a prize to play this final, we've deserved it and we are full of excitement."
Meanwhile, Wales international Gareth Bale is looking forward to the new campaign after scoring 22 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid following his transfer from Tottenham 12 months ago.
He said: "It is nice not being new. I am settled in now and I have had a good pre-season. It is a lot easier having a pre-season under your belt rather than waiting for a transfer to go through."
