Ian Poulter is keen to extend his brilliant Ryder Cup record by helping Europe beat the USA at Gleneagles this week.
The 38-year-old, whose best individual performance in a Major came at the 2025 Open Championship when he finished second, has played in four Ryder Cups, winning three times.
He has a 12-3 record in his 15 games and was superb at Medinah two years ago, winning all four of the matches he was involved in as Europe hit back from 10-4 down to retain the Ryder Cup in dramatic fashion.
"(It makes me) extremely proud," said Poulter. "How I've performed in the last number of Ryder Cups is - if I really have to sit back and think about it - I'm very proud of that.
"I'm very proud of my record and proud that I've put a lot of blue on the board. I'm passionate as a team player, and yeah, to be mentioned with the likes of Seve Ballesteros and Monty (Colin Montgomerie) and those players is an absolute honour."
