Chelsea captain John Terry insists that his side are there to be shot at, having made a flying start to the new Premier League season.
The Blues currently top the table with 19 points from a possible 21, with nearest rivals Manchester City five points further back.
However, Terry is taking nothing for granted, as his side prepare to make the short trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday, with a shock loss to the Eagles last season being one of the hammer blows which cost the Blues the title.
The former England central defender warned: "Clearly it (the title race) is not over.
"Other teams have been in this position. It's nice to have the lead, but when you're at the top everyone wants to shoot you down.
"That's the good thing about the Premier League and why everyone loves it. Teams are out to get us because we are at the top and playing well."
Prior to being upset by Palace last season, Chelsea have won each of their last five meetings with their London rivals and they are4/9to take all three points on Saturday, with the draw15/4, while the Blues can be backed at1/1to keep a clean sheet.
Palace will be without centre-half Scott Dann, who has been ruled out by a knee injury, while Chelsea will hope that star striker Diego Costa has recovered well from playng twice for Spain in the last week.
Costa, who has already scored nine Premier League goals this season, featured against both Slovakia and Luxembourg despite recent muscle problems in his leg.
