West Brom manager Alan Irvine believes Saido Berahino can become one of the stars of the game.
The 21-year-old scored a late penalty on Saturday as Albion hit back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace and has already found the net seven times in the Premier League this season, including five goals in his last four appearances.
Berahino is the top-scoring Englishman in the Premier League and has also impressed for his country's Under-21 side this term, to Irvine's delight.
"I think he can become an elite player," said the Baggies boss. "As long as he goes about his job inthe way he is doing now - on the field and off it.
"Some people can't handle the pressure, they get distracted so it is important he takes everything that is going on at the moment in his stride. I have quite a lot of chats with Saido - nothing major - just little chats to make sure he is going down the right road.
"Saido's getting an awful lot of attention so it is vitally important that we are there to support him and make sure that doesn't take him off track."
West Brom travel to the south coast on Tuesday to take on a Bournemouth side in the Capital One Cup that won 8-0 at Birmingham City on Saturday.
Albion,25/1to win the Capital One Cup outright, can be backed at9/1to beat the Cherries 2-1, with Berahino5/1to be the first goalscorer and6/4to find the net at any time against the Championship outfit.
