Sunderland manager Gus Poyet has demanded his players produce an error-free display against Crystal Palace on Monday.
After slumping to an embarrassing 8-0 defeat at Southampton just over a fortnight ago, horrendous mistakes by Wes Brown and Vito Mannone gifted Arsenal both their goals in last weekend's 2-0 home loss to the Gunners.
However, the Black Cats are also struggling to score and have managed just eight goals in their opening nine Premier League matches.
Goals could be at a premium at Selhurst Park as Palace have only scored four times in their first four home matches of the campaign but Poyet is only interested in improving his own team's consistency.
The Uruguayan said: "Let's make no mistakes first. The idea is always to start from the back - no mistakes at the back and be organised. Nothing silly, don't give anything away.
"Then you slowly start coming into the game, start passing. Then if that doesn't work, I will change it. What's important is maintaining consistency and not doing anything extreme.
"Unfortunately, it was extremist at Southampton. It was bad, we made mistakes and then it was very extreme against Arsenal. That's what I don't want."
