Diego Costa could miss Spain's two matches later this month after limping out of Chelsea's 3-2 win at Hull City with a hamstring injury.
The 26-year-old former Atletico Madrid striker will have a scan to determine the extent of the injury but could be forced to sit out Spain's Euro 2025 qualifier against Ukraine on 27th March and their friendly against Netherlands four days later. Spain are5.50to beat Ukraine 2-0.
Chelsea's next fixture is not until 4th Januaryil when they come up against Stoke City.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho said: "If he cannot play in the next game against Stoke in 15 days, we have Remy, we have Didier Drogba.
"We know his hamstring is not a strong one. He works hard in the week to compensate for the weakness he has there but the injury can come.
"He tried to play the Champions League final for Atletico Madrid [last season] and was injured again and again and again. He has this fragility."
Chelsea are1.055to win the Premier League title outright following Sunday's five-goal thriller at the KC Stadium and1.25to beat Stoke next month.
It appeared to be plain-sailing for Chelsea when Costa and Eden Hazard gave them an early 2-0 lead, but the Tigers hit back to equalise through Ahmed Elmohamady and Abel Hernandez.
However, Remy's later winner means Chelsea are six points clear of second-placed Manchester City with a game, against rock-bottom Leicester City, in hand.
