Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that he hopes to sign three more players before the transfer window closes.
Martinez has been criticised for the lack of transfer activity at Goodison Park since the end of last season while reports suggesting John Stones will be sold to Chelsea continue.
However, River Plate defender Ramiro Funes Mori watched Sunday's 2-0 home defeat against Manchester City and is expected to sign forthe clubthis week whileEverton have also been linked with Dynamo Kiev forward Andriy Yarmolenko, Shakhtar Donetsk's Bernard and Uruguayan striker Leandro Rodriguez.
"The fact that Ramiro Funes Mori was here was down to the agreement we have with River Plate," said Martinez.
"Heis a player who has won the Copa Libertadores with River Plate. He is 24 and a left-footed centre-half with a winning mentality who will fit the squad extremely well. You don't get many opportunities to bring in a player who has won the Copa Libertadores."
Everton's next Premier League match is at Tottenham on Saturday evening while they are set to face League One side Barnsley in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.
