Claudio Ranieri says it is okay for Leicester City fans to dream of a famous title success but he wants his players to keep their feet firmly on the ground.
The Foxes scored a late win over fourth-placed Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night, giving them three points that allowed them draw level with leaders Arsenal, who were denied victory late on in their clash with Liverpool at Anfield.
Robert Huth headed home for Leicester seven minutes before full time in north London after Ranieri's men had withstood a stern examination from the home side.
Tottenham could come no closer than when Harry Kane lofted a shot onto the crossbar and Huth's powerful header ensured another famous night for the travelling Foxes.
Leicester, now12/1to be Premier League champions this season, are giving their fans the right to dream says the Italian but it is important the players keep their focus.
Asked how far this Leicester team can go in the title race, Ranieri said: "I don't know. They [the fans] are dreaming and that's okay.
"We must stay with our feet on the ground."
The ex-Chelsea boss admitted his side had been under pressure for long spells of the first half but he said that was something they had expected and he felt the balance was redressed somewhat in the second period.
"We were waiting for it but we maintained our calm, our shape and slowly we got better, creating some excellent chances to score.
"In the second half it was an open match. We created some chances to score, they created some chances to score and in the end we won. We are very happy."
Leicester are8/13to finish in the top four this season and Ranieri was delighted to see his team keeping another clean sheet while also maintaining their ability to create chances.
"We created three or four good chances to score. They saved well but in the end we scored. I'm always positive. This is our third clean sheet in a row and that's good," he added.
