Manager Arsene Wenger hopes to have two more players available for Arsenal's tough Premier League trip to Stoke City on Sunday.
Wenger is waiting on fitness tests to striker Alexis Sanchez later in the week, with the Chilean having been sidelined since January by a hamstring problem.
Sanchez was close to being involved in the 3-3 draw at Liverpool on Wednesday evening, a game which saw the Gunners concede a last-minute equaliser to allow Leicester City to draw level on points with them at the top of the table.
Afterwards, Wenger confirmed: "There is an opportunity that he will be in the squad for Sunday.
"He will have a definite test on Saturday and Friday and Saturday will be two important days for him. It is not impossible that he will be involved."
Meanwhile, Wenger also confirmed that the deal to sign FC Basel's Mohamed Elneny for around 5million has been completed, with the Frenchman hoping that the paperwork is cleared in time for the Egyptian midfielder to feature.
He added: "He has joined us and we will see if he can qualify for Sunday."
Wenger concluded by urging his players to take the positives out of the 3-3 draw at Anfield and not focus too long on the dropping of two potentially crucial points in the title race.
He said: "They need to transform the frustration they have in the dressing room at the moment to even more motivation for the next game. There is a lot of positives in the game and there is more positives than negatives in the game.
"I think what happened should strengthen their belief that they have a big part to play in this league."
