Martin Johnson has made nine changes to his England team for Sunday's World Cup clash against Georgia with Lewis Moody captaining the side after being passed fit.
The Bath flanker missed England's unconvincing win over Argentina with knee ligament damage, but has made a good recovery from the injury and replaces James Haskell at open-side flanker.
Moody initially picked up the problem during a Heineken Cup match in January and missed the entire Six Nations campaign. He had appeared to have made a full recovery but then suffered knee ligament damage in England's first warm-up international against Wales last month.
"It's great to have Lewis back," said Johnson. "This is a chance for a lot of guys to play.
"That was always the plan, that people would have to play and be ready, to give them a chance for the second half of the pool."
Toby Flood starts at fly-half alongside scrum-half Ben Youngs while Shontayne Hape replaces Mike Tindall at centre. Matt Stevens starts at loose-head with Dylan Hartley, Simon Shaw, Tom Palmer and Tom Wood also coming into the side. Courtney Lawes is suspended.
