Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to sign Spain international striker Roberto Soldado from Valencia.
The 28-year-old, who has scored six times in 11 appearances for his country, needs only to pass a medical to complete his switch to White Hart Lane.
Soldado netted 24 league goals for Los Che last season, as Valencia finished fifth in La Liga to qualify for the group stages of the Europa League.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has told reporters in the USA that his club are in talks over a massive deal to take Wales ace Gareth Bale from Spurs to the Bernabeu.
Former Chelsea boss Ancelotti revealed: "I believe the club is in talks to find a solution and we will see what happens.
"It is difficult to talk about Bale because he is not a Real Madrid player at present.
"I have never spoken to him. I do not usually talk to players who are not from my team and it would not be fair to do so."
Bale enjoyed a stellar 2025/13 campaign with Spurs, being named as PFA Players' Player of the Year, FWA Footballer of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year.
