Napoli head coach Rafa Benitez believes that Arsenal are capable of winning the Champions League this season, despite failing to clinch top spot in Group F.
A 2-0 loss in Naples and Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 victory in Marseille left the Gunners in second place behind the Bundesliga outfit, but Benitez was still upbeat about the team his side saw off on Wednesday evening.
The former Liverpool boss said: "We talk about teams like Bayern Munich, Paris St Germain, Barcelona, there are a lot of teams who can do very well and for me, Arsenal are one of the candidates who can be there at the end."
The Gunners can be backed at18/1to be crowned European champions for the first time in their history, with Bayern9/4to successfully defend their title, while Real Madrid are available at5/1to win a record tenth European Cup.
Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was left hoping for a favourable draw in the last-16 on Monday, with his side set to meet one of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris St-Germain or Atletico Madrid.
The Frenchman added: "Of course, to finish second makes the potential draw more difficult. In the last four or five years we have had very difficult draws, so maybe this time we will be more lucky.
"We will see what comes out of the draw and will assess that in February, because a lot can change on both sides.
"We need to put that to the back of our minds now and focus on the championship."
