Sam Warburton admits it is incredibly disappointing to have been ruled out of the decisive third Test between the British & Irish Lions and Australia because of injury.

The Lions captain will miss the series decider after picking up a "significant" hamstring tear during the 16-15 defeat to the Wallabies in Saturday's second Test in Melbourne.

If selected, Irish veteran Brian O'Driscoll looks set to captain the side with either Sean O'Brien or Justin Tipuric replacing Warburton in Warren Gatland's starting line-up.

Wales flanker Warburton said: "It is incredibly disappointing to be ruled out of the tour through injury."

The 24-year-old added: "I wish the team all the best and hope I can play some part in the build-up this week. I am confident the boys can finish the job off and secure the series win."

The Lions are1.90to win Saturday's match in Sydney and clinch a 2-1 series success, while the Wallabies are available at1.90to win the game.

Meanwhile, there is better news for the Lions as hooker Tom Youngs is confident he will be fit enough to feature in the final Test despite being forced off the pitch after 56 minutes on Saturday with a back spasm.

The 25-year-old Leicester Tigers and England star said: "The doc gave me plenty of drugs so that has helped - it also helped to numb the pain of defeat too.

"We were all gutted to lose the game, and especially in the manner in which we did. But we've seen two great Tests and it all comes down to the wire in Sydney. It's all set up nicely.

"The contrast in emotions is something I have never experienced before. The previous Saturday I was on top of the world and last weekend you feel as if you've hit rock bottom.

"But that's sport, that's why we play it, watch it and love it. We need to get the defeat out of the system and look ahead to the challenge of the weekend."
